Arborg was having a little carnival thing on Thursday till Saturday night, which also ment that the Arborg Bakery was opened till nine and they now serve soft ICE CREAM!! So, Adrian and I decided to take Hayden Friday night! Even though he wasn't tall enough to ride any the rides, it was still lots of fun walking around, eating mini donuts, and visiting with people!
Hayden LOVED the Ferris Wheel and the Salt and Pepper shaker rides! That is all he looked at all evening, and was saying "ohhh" and "what is that". He also LOVED that mini donuts! He ate most of the bag!!
Hayden's favorite ride! Maybe next year we can take him on it! He is to short and small to go on the rides!
Hayden chowing down on mini donuts, and watching the salt and pepper shaker ride!
On Saturday, we went to Selkirk! I won a little photo thing at Walmart, so we decided to do Hayden's one year pictures at Walmart! And I am not very big on "Studio" pictures, but I was really suprised on how well they turned out, and how she was willing to do different poses, and not the generic "Studio" pictures! Hayden loved her! She got some pictured of him laughing from the gut! SO CUTE! I cannot wait till we get them! I think I will have to change all the picture frames from his newborn to more updated ones!! Then after we went and did some of our grocery shopping, and also got some stuff for Hayden. He needed a rain jacket and summer hat, and or course sunscreen, since the weather is so nice and the sun is HOT! We also took a drive to the marine museum! I love that place! So much history and it is really pretty, I also have some pretty sweet childhood memories there! We then went to Boston Pizza for supper to celebrate Mother's Day! I used to HATE Boston Pizza! But now I LOVE it! Adrian introduced to me to the catus cut and the dip, SO GOOD! Then, it was time for home! We picked up frozen Lemonade, and an Ice Capp at Tim Hortons, then drove the trek home!
I love Selkirk! I honestly think I would move there. I know when I tell people that, they kinda look at me funny and ask WHY? And honestly I think it is because Our family doctor is there, and the hospital there is AMAZING! I love it! I recomend that hospital to anyone!
On Saturday Jaime came back to our place and had flowers ( she was in the city all day, taking care of wedding stuff). The flowers were for Mother's day! She made my evening!! Thanks Jaime!
Then we just spent the evening together, and went to bed and had a amazing sleep!
Sunday was MOTHER'S DAY! I love Mother's and Father's day!
The day started off with going to church! AND, Adrian and Hayden giving me a beautiful necklace! I could not get a clear picture with my camera, our camera is not the best, but here is a picture from the website that Adrian ordered it off of...
But instead of the K, it has H for Hayden!
I LOVE IT! I cannot stop looking at it! It means so much to me! And the best part is when we have more kids, she will make more stars with thier intials, and also send thier birthstone with it as well! It is made by a company from Toronto, she calls herself "Made by Sam". I have no complaints, I love it!
After we went to church, had breaky there, listened to the service, then came home and tried to put Hayden down for a nap, but he didn't wanna have a nap, so we watched TV and played with him trying tucker him out! After awhile he FINALLY gave into sleep! After his nap, I wanted to go for a walk down to the river, Hayden loves it there and Adrian and I also love it, it is beautiful! Growing up in Southern Manitoba where every Lake is a hour drive, and now living like a two mintue walk from it, is AWESOME! I love it! Anyways, we went for a walk and let Hayden play in the grass amoung the dandilions, and geese poop (which we only noticed before we left) GROSS! But it was funny!
Before we went for a little stroll!
Hayden and his little red wagon! Pointing to the camera asking "what is that?"
He was not too sure about the grass at first! But now he loves it!
Hayden discovering his first Dandelion!
He later tried to eat it!
It was SO bright and windy yesterday!!
Walking back home!
When we got back from our walk, Adrian was in charge of supper!!
He bbq'd STEAK!! It was so good, he made it med-rare, which is my favorite! It was juicy and tender, that you didn't even need bbq sauce with it! We also fried up some red pepper, mushrooms, and onions to go with the steak. And our fixings were macaroni salad, potatoe salad, garlic bread, and watermelon!! SO YUMMY!! For dessert, Hayden and the kids at childrens church decorated cookies for thier mom, so we had those!
After supper we cleaned up and got ready to go to Gimli for Adrian's soccer game!
Adrian had to be there at 630, which meant that he had to leave by 6. So, Adrian and Randy went together and then Jaime and I came a little later! It was alot of fun! And they won 4-3 aganist Winnipeg Beach!
Helping Daddy do his pregame stretch!
He thought it was funny for some reason!
It was past his bedtime, and he was kinda whiny and tired but yet being so cute! So mommy gave in and gave him his boubos! (bottle)
Auntie Jaime and Hayden almost falling asleep!
Jaime and her sunny d! She was super excited when she saw this at the gas station!
Oh look! Hayden got his 2nd wind! He was playing this a soccer ball, and he would stand up, kick it, then fall down, get up and do it all again! He then would also pick it up, throw it, crawl to get it, throw it again! It kept entertained for awhile!
After the soccer game we went to main street to go get burgers and ice cream at DIEGO'S KITCHEN! Honestly, the BEST burgers I have ever had!!
It is autentic Mexican food, NOT mennonite mexcian, but like REAL mexican! SO DANG GOOD!!
I had thier normal cheese burger, except it was NOT normal at all. I was just expecting a patty with lettuce, cheese and some mayo and musturd, and ya you know the standard burger! But NO what I got was something I cannot even explain! The burger was so juicy that when you took a bite outta it the juice ran down your hand! SO GOOD! There was cabbage, chips, musturd, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, and some sort of colombian relish, and other stuff on it that tasted so good, but I am not totally sure what! REALLY GOOD! I loved it!
Not only was the food amazing but the atmosphere was pretty awesome too, there was loud music playing that made you wanna get up and dance! The place kinda reminded me of something that you would see on "Diner, Drive in's and dives (show from Food Network). The decor was outta of date, but the food was AMAZING! The place used to be "Beach Boys", but now has a new owner, and he plans to call is Diego's Kitchen!! (they don't have signs though, so it "technically" Beach Boys) I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!! They had everything from burgers to shrimp tacos! I plan on going back there VERY soon! I think I found my new favorite local resteraunt!
My half eaten burger! Doesn't look much, but I cannot get over how good it was!
Check it out seriously!
Once we were done there which was like 1030!! CRAZY! I felt young again! :)
Came home, gave Hayden a bath, then bedtime!
Such an awesome, amazing Mother's day!!
