Mr. Independent! Hayden!

Mr. Hayden standing on his own!

He looks so serious!

Wall Walking! Where he walks along the walls! He is started to let go, and walk on his own! Yesterday he walked from the kitchen to the living room!

His first golf set! Thank you Auntie Jaime!

LOOK! I can walk all by myself! Of course Adrian's arms were ready to catch him if he fell back! But he didn't! He walked right into my arms!

Gotta be on your toes with Hayden! He is so curious, he gets into everything! :)

Hayden is growing like a weed! We started the process of weaning him off his formula, then comes the weaning off the bottle. It is hard, I don't know where to start or how to start! So, we decided to do our own thing. We started off with nap time/ quiet time. There are days where he actually sleeps, then there are days where he'll just play with stuffies and talk to himself. Usually during that time I put a bottle in crib with formula. But now we are doing whole milk, and sometimes depends on the day I will put it in a sippy cup, I know I should start being more consistent and just put it in a sippy cup all the time. Now the next step is taking him off the bottle and formula for good! How do you do that? Cold Turkey!?

Every day is a learning process for Adrian and I, and also for Hayden!

Mother's Day Weekend! AKA: Our weekend packed with loads of fun and memories!

Arborg was having a little carnival thing on Thursday till Saturday night, which also ment that the Arborg Bakery was opened till nine and they now serve soft ICE CREAM!! So, Adrian and I decided to take Hayden Friday night! Even though he wasn't tall enough to ride any the rides, it was still lots of fun walking around, eating mini donuts, and visiting with people!

Hayden LOVED the Ferris Wheel and the Salt and Pepper shaker rides! That is all he looked at all evening, and was saying "ohhh" and "what is that".  He also LOVED that mini donuts! He ate most of the bag!!

Hayden's favorite ride! Maybe next year we can take him on it! He is to short and small to go on the rides!

Hayden chowing down on mini donuts, and watching the salt and pepper shaker ride!

On Saturday, we went to Selkirk! I won a little photo thing at Walmart, so we decided to do Hayden's one year pictures at Walmart! And I am not very big on "Studio" pictures, but I was really suprised on how well they turned out, and how she was willing to do different poses, and not the generic "Studio" pictures! Hayden loved her! She got some pictured of him laughing from the gut! SO CUTE! I cannot wait till we get them! I think I will have to change all the picture frames from his newborn to more updated ones!! Then after we went and did some of our grocery shopping, and also got some stuff for Hayden. He needed a rain jacket and summer hat, and or course sunscreen, since the weather is so nice and the sun is  HOT! We also took a drive to the marine museum! I love that place! So much history and it is really pretty, I also have some pretty sweet childhood memories there! We then went to Boston Pizza for supper to celebrate Mother's Day! I used to HATE Boston Pizza! But now I LOVE it! Adrian introduced to me to the catus cut and the dip, SO GOOD! Then, it was time for home! We picked up frozen Lemonade, and an Ice Capp at Tim Hortons, then drove the trek home!

I love Selkirk! I honestly think I would move there. I know when I tell people that, they kinda look at me funny and ask WHY? And honestly I think it is because Our family doctor is there, and the hospital there is AMAZING! I love it! I recomend that hospital to anyone!

On Saturday Jaime came back to our place and had flowers ( she was in the city all day, taking care of wedding stuff). The flowers were for Mother's day! She made my evening!! Thanks Jaime!
Then we just spent the evening together, and went to bed and had a amazing sleep!

Sunday was MOTHER'S DAY! I love Mother's and Father's day!
The day started off with going to church! AND, Adrian and Hayden giving me a beautiful necklace! I could not get a clear picture with my camera, our camera is not the best, but here is a picture from the website that Adrian ordered it off of...

Mothers Day Gift ,Personalized Necklace, mother Necklace -Crescent moon , 1 gold initial star , moonstone , chrysophrase, moms , grandma
But instead of the K, it has H for Hayden!

I LOVE IT! I cannot stop looking at it! It means so much to me! And the best part is when we have more kids, she will make more stars with thier intials, and also send thier birthstone with it as well! It is made by a company from Toronto, she calls herself "Made by Sam". I have no complaints, I love it!

After we went to church, had breaky there, listened to the service, then came home and tried to put Hayden down for a nap, but he didn't wanna have a nap, so we watched TV and played with him trying tucker him out!  After awhile he FINALLY gave into sleep! After his nap, I wanted to go for a walk down to the river, Hayden loves it there and Adrian and I also love it, it is beautiful! Growing up in Southern Manitoba where every Lake is a hour drive, and now living like a two mintue walk from it, is AWESOME! I love it! Anyways, we went for a walk and let Hayden play in the grass amoung the dandilions, and geese poop (which we only noticed before we left) GROSS! But it was funny!

Before we went for a little stroll!

Hayden and his little red wagon! Pointing to the camera asking "what is that?"

He was not too sure about the grass at first! But now he loves it!

Hayden discovering his first Dandelion!
He later tried to eat it!

It was SO bright and windy yesterday!!

Walking back home!

When we got back from our walk, Adrian was in charge of supper!!

He bbq'd STEAK!! It was so good, he made it med-rare, which is my favorite! It was juicy and tender, that you didn't even need bbq sauce with it! We also fried up some red pepper, mushrooms, and onions to go with the steak. And our fixings were macaroni salad, potatoe salad, garlic bread, and watermelon!! SO YUMMY!! For dessert, Hayden and the kids at childrens church decorated cookies for thier mom, so we had those!

After supper we cleaned up and got ready to go to Gimli for Adrian's soccer game!
Adrian had to be there at 630, which meant that he had to leave by 6. So, Adrian and Randy went together and then Jaime and I came a little later! It was alot of fun! And they won 4-3 aganist Winnipeg Beach!

Helping Daddy do his pregame stretch!
He thought it was funny for some reason!

It was past his bedtime, and he was kinda whiny and tired but yet being so cute! So mommy gave in and gave him his boubos! (bottle)

Auntie Jaime and Hayden almost falling asleep!
Jaime and her sunny d! She was super excited when she saw this at the gas station!

Oh look! Hayden got his 2nd wind! He was playing this a soccer ball, and he would stand up, kick it, then fall down, get up and do it all again! He then would also pick it up, throw it, crawl to get it, throw it again! It kept entertained for awhile!

After the soccer game we went to main street to go get burgers and ice cream at DIEGO'S KITCHEN! Honestly, the BEST burgers I have ever had!!
It is autentic Mexican food, NOT mennonite mexcian, but like REAL mexican! SO DANG GOOD!!
I had thier normal cheese burger, except it was NOT normal at all. I was just expecting a patty with lettuce, cheese and some mayo and musturd, and ya you know the standard burger! But NO what I got was something I cannot even explain! The burger was so juicy that when you took a bite outta it the juice ran down your hand! SO GOOD! There was cabbage, chips, musturd, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, and some sort of colombian relish, and other stuff on it that tasted so good, but I am not totally sure what! REALLY GOOD! I loved it!
Not only was the food amazing but the atmosphere was pretty awesome too, there was loud music playing that made you wanna get up and dance! The place kinda reminded me of something that you would see on "Diner, Drive in's and dives (show from Food Network). The decor was outta of date, but the food was AMAZING! The place used to be "Beach Boys", but now has a new owner, and he plans to call is Diego's Kitchen!! (they don't have signs though, so it "technically" Beach Boys)  I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!! They had everything from burgers to shrimp tacos! I plan on going back there VERY soon!  I think I found my new favorite local resteraunt!

My half eaten burger! Doesn't look much, but I cannot get over how good it was!
Check it out seriously!

Once we were done there which was like 1030!! CRAZY! I felt young again! :)
Came home, gave Hayden a bath, then bedtime!

Such an awesome, amazing Mother's day!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Happy Mothers Day to all mom's, and mom's to be!

So far, I am having a wonderful Mother's day!

I was presented with a beautiful necklace from Hayden and Adrian of course! It is a "charm" necklace. It has a moon on it that saids I love you to the moon and back, then it has a gold star on it with the letter H, symbolizing Hayden of course! Then it has the march birthstone for Hayden's bday, then a white clear stone on it. The white stone represents new life. I love it! I will NEED to post pics up later!

Hayden is having a nap, and then after we are going for a walk down to the river to play! We have taken him there for walks before and he loves it, and Adrian took him there for a bike ride the other morning and he was in love with the water and birds!

I have lots of catching up to do when it comes to blogging!

Pictures to come...

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Mother's Day!

Will you...

Look at that ROCK! :)

Jaime and Randy came over last night to show us the ring! Which suits Jaime so much, it is beautiful, I forgot to take pics of it, I will tonight when she comes over again! Anyways, she handed me this box. When I opened it first I saw this mockingjay pin!!! If you don't know what that is, it is from the book "The Hunger Games." I was so pumped! Now I feel like Katniss Everdeen! ;)

Then I looked more in the box and found this ring pop, and a note asking if I could be her Maid of Honor! And of course I said yes!!!
Adrian is also a Groomsmen for Randy, and Hayden is the little ring bearer!

I cannot wait to help her plan the wedding and of course the Bachlorette Party! It is going be SO fun! We are going dress shopping for her on the 19th!! I am so excited! These past 2 nights, I haven't gotten much sleep because the excitement!

I am looking forward to the months of planning ahead!

my little sickie!

Hayden has been battling a Viral Infection (what the doctor told me what it was) all week so far! He hasn't really eaten this week, he has been living off Formula, juice and water, but hardly any solid foods. Which got me worried, so the doctor told me to make something he LOVES but healthy, that way he will eat it, and I did and it worked!! For breakfast I made him Chocolate Chip Pancakes, which aren't that healthy, but I was desperate for him to eat! And he loved, he 3 whole pancakes, and half a banana. And the exciting part about it was, he didn't throw up after he was done! It stayed down! But he didn't really want his lunch, he had one cracker and he was done, but that is okay because he is drinking his formula, which has alot of nutrution in it! He still isn't his normal self, but he is getting there! Hopefully tomorrow he will have TWO meals! One day at a time...

Poor guy! I hate it when he is sick, but the postive out of it, is that he is super cuddly when he is sick!

the only one for me...

<3

I found this on Pintrest, and it reminded me of Adrian for 2 reasons:

1) He loves Star Wars

2) And he is the only one for me, I could not picture myself with anyone else!

I love you Adrian!

Grand Forks 2012!

This past weekend Adrian, Hayden and I went to spend the weekend along with my Friesen family in Grand Forks, United States of America!!

We left on Friday at 10am, we wanted to leave earlier but sleep got the best of all of us! After breaky and a little more packing, we were on our way! I was so excited!

All packed and ready to go!

Almost sleeping!

And He is OUT!

On our way there we were going to stop in Morris, to have a picnic lunch and let Hayden crawl around and stretch his legs. But plans changed, Hayden pretty much slept the whole ride, so instead of waking him and probably have a grouchy boy we decided to just drive on thru! We got there around 1, we went as fast as we could, plus the speeding limit was 110 for some of the way!

When we got there we checked into the hotel and Adrian wanted to get his shopping done. So we went shopping! Adrian got dress pants, shirt, tie, tshirts, shorts! We also got some construction stuff or whatever you wanna call it for the house. Stuff that is hard to get in Canada.

Once we were done we went to Target, got some snacks, picked up supper at McDonalds! SO GOOD, haven't had Mcdicks in a LONG time! Then went back to our hotel to eat and RELAX!!

of course the is the first thing he will find or play with!

Adrian catching some zzz's!

Hayden discovering! He is the most curious little boy I have ever seen!

That night I decided that I need to go and do some "scouting". Which means go o my favorite store there and see the sales and clothes! That way the next day I will not waste anytime, get what I want/need and be outta there and have the rest of the day to shop with my family and hang out with them.

I went to Target, Kohls, Gordmans, and of course one of my favorites TJ Maxx's! I found some very good deals, and guess it helped that I preprinted coupons! The states has the best coupons! So much better then Canada! An example of this is, Adrian needed a dress shirt, tie and pants for the 10000 upcoming weddings we have this summer, so we went to Kohls to checks some stuff out, plus I had some coupons for Kohls!
Adrian found a dress shirt, tie and pants, and the total was something like 140 around there, and we only paid around 65$$ after all my coupons! I felt an extreme couponer! haha, not really, but I did feel like doing a happy dance!

Friday night we had a rought night with Hayden. He woke up at 1 in the morning, so we gave him a bottle and he went back to bed, no big deal, well then he woke up 3 and I don't know what he was thinking! He was ready to get outta bed and play! He was so happy, that you could be mad at him. So we let him play in our bed with us, and put cartoons on so we can get some half sleep.By the time 530 rolled around he was ready to go back to bed and slept till eight!

You would think that I would be extremely tired the next day, but I wasn't! I think it was all the adreline running through me to go shopping!

The next day we had breaky, and then went to do some shopping with my mom and sister! We tried on lots of clothes and looked at lots of things, and the best part was we had lots of good talks! That was the highlight of the trip! I loved having some mom/sister time! I think we need to do it more often, but it is kinda hard when they live 2 hours away. :(

I got lots of summer clothes! As my mom said, "I hauled pretty good". haha makes me sound like some kinda farmer or something.
I got 4 summer dresses, 2 cardigans, 3 pairs of earrings, a new shower curtain, makeup, nail polish, 2 tops, tights, a leopard scarf, bath and body lotions, soaps, and lip gloss (they have the best lip gloss ever), and I also got Hayden some books, pj's, sandels, and Adrian found the cutest most redneck jacket ever at Cabelas! It is camaflogue, and I will post pictures of him wearing it when it is clean!  Hayden also got a bunch of stuff from Auntie Jaime (thank you!). Adrian and the boys (my brother, my dad, Hayden, my uncles and cousins) went to Cabelas and Sheels! Two big outdoor/sporting goods stores! Adrian finally found himself a putter, plus fishing stuff for this summer! In the evening we all came back from our own activities and Grandma and Grandpa ordered in pizza for all of us, and we just ate and hung out! It was fun and refreshing! After supper, my brother, Hayden and I went down to the pool. Hayden hated it, hence the reason that there are no pictures. First of all, the water was so cold, and the place echoed like crazy so it was very loud with all the kids screaming. So, his pool time lasted about 10 minutes, not even! We have taken him swimming before and he loved it, but I think he loved it the other times because it was warm and the place was quiet (the Clarion Hotel). The next morning we packed up, stopped in at Culvers with the family for lunch and was on our way!! It was such an awesome time and such a refreshing time to hang out with my family!! I love them all so dearly! I cannot wait for next year now!
