update on my wonderful, lovely mom.

Last Friday my mom went for her appointment to Cancer Care in Winnipeg to find out how bad the cancer is in the brain tumor.

It turns out the cancer is a high grade cancer, which means that there are 4 stages of cancer, one being the "best" and 4 being the worst. Mom has stage 3 cancer. She will start chemo and radation on August 7th. The chemo will be pill form which means she will take pills everyday, and then she goes into HSC for radation 5 days a week. And that is pretty much it. Please continue to pray for our family, as this process is long from being over.

Don't worry! I hope he does.

I hope he's got this.

Hayden "cleans"

Went to the bathroom, and when I came out all of Hayden's wipes were in the hallway! And the thing is I wasn't even mad! I have a hard time getting mad when I know he isn't trying to cause trouble and all he is doing is being curious! Luckly it wasn't anything that was messy! Then I might have been a little mad! He can be a very messy boy BUT also a very clean boy! He does NOT like it when things are under the couch, there has been times where he drops something like a snack or something and it goes under the couch, he will look for it till he finds it, pick it up and bring it to me to put in the garbage! When I first saw this I was thinking YES, this kid is going to be a clean freak! And in some ways he is already a little! He hardly ever makes big messes with his toys, he puts them back in the toy box if he doesn't wanna play with them! He doesn't do this all the time, but now I have started cracking down on it more. Reason being, I think it is important to teach kids to clean up after themselves! That's just me, if you would talk to my husband,he would tell you that I am a NEAT FREAK!

I guess Hayden has seen me clean lots! He moved the furniture in the living room, and was dusting everywhere! I was proud!

"Cleaning" the floor!

Lets just hope that this carries on for the teen years!

Our Little Sunshine!

Hayden has been SUCH a blessing to us! We love that little guy so much! We love that he is discovering new things everyday, we love that he loves to play ball, we love that he ALWAYS wants to go outside and would live outside if he got the chance! There is so MANY things that we love about him! He is one amazing little boy and brings so much sunshine when life seems so dark! I even love it when he throws a temper tantrum.

Hayden is a very curious little boy, he loves to be where the action is. I have already noticed how he thrives off people and loves people! Everytime we go uptown to do errands, Hayden is constantly saying"hi" to everyone, and waving to everyone. He is such a good little boy, and I am proud to call him my son!

Hayden's New Words:
 1) gross - I do know where he got this from. The other day I made him a Turkey Wrap for Lunch and put it in front of him, and he said "GROSS", and it was loud and clear! He still ate it though, then the rest of the afternoon he kept on saying it, maybe because he got a reaction out of mom. OOPS!

2) Ball
3) Nanana- Which means Banana, and also means that he is hungry. When he comes up to me and says Nanana, I know he wants a snack.
4) What- He says this if you talk to him

Lately, he has been into puppies, dirt bikes, balls, and big trucks! Every time he sees a big truck or dirt bike his eyes light up and makes noises that they make. So cute! Some of these things I don't know where he gets it from!

Cheese!

He is all about the puppies!

Just like daddy!

His favorite snack! Cheese and bread with butter! If I let him he would eat that for EVERY meal!

Coloring his first picture! We bought him a Sesame Street Coloring book! He loves it!

And the finished picture! You cannot really tell in the picture, but there is black and brown scribbles! It is proudly on our fridge!

New Haircut!!

I FINALLY got my hair cut! I think the last time I did was in October right before Nic and Alyssa's Wedding! Crazy! That is almost a year! I guess I never had time! Hayden keeps me really busy! Like REALLY busy! Anyways, my sister was out here for a couple of days so I took advantage of it and asked her to look after Hayden while he was napping and then I could get my hair cut! SO glad I did! I feel refreshed! Sounds cheesy I know!

Here it is:

It is from Ipod because my "real" camera did not have batteries! I love it and I think I will be keeping my bangs for now on! Oh, and I also ordered Extensions!! Should be here in a week! Cannot wait!! I am going for the Zooey Daschenel (yes, I know I butchered her name!) look! Google it! :)

Update!

My mom had her surgery last Tuesday. Today it has been a week!
Way to go Mom!!

They removed 60% of the tumor. They knew from the beginning that they wouldn't be able to remove all of it. We all knew that as well, but I think all of us was thinking that maybe the doctors would be wrong and get the whole thing. It is okay though! 60% of a tennis ball is pretty good I think!

She wasn't in the hospitalt to long, she came home FRIDAY! I was shocked by this! I thought Brain Surgery, at least a week or two stay! But the doctor said that she would have more of a chance catching an infection in the hospital then she would at home. It makes perfect sense when you think of it!

Next step?
Well, the next step is the tumor has been shipped off to some people that will test the tumor to see if the Tumor is High Grade Cancer or Low Grade Cancer. If is a high grade she will then have to go through the whole Chemo and Radation. And if it is a low grade then she will have to take pills for the rest of her life and the doctors will moniter the tumor thorugh annually MRI's.

We as a family are really thankful for the prayers, food, flowers, and the love! You truly find out who your true friends are when stuff like this happens! Please don't stop praying!

I will try to keep this updated!
