20 Weeks!

Size of Baby: the baby is the size of a Banana. 7 inches, 11 ounces.

My Body: This week was the first weeks where I felt "pregnant". I feel like that I have popped more, I think that maybe I am starting to look more pregnant and not look like I ate a tub of ice cream! I will need to post some pictures up! I still feel moody and hormonal, some days I am happy like super happy, then other days I am so depressed and grouchy. Luckliy, I have Hayden and Adrian they always seems to cheer me up. My legs are sore, my feet are sore, and my hips are SO sore! I have also been having some Braxton Hicks, which really scared me at first but apprently its normal! So I will NOT worry about it!

Cravings: No new cravings this week!

Movements: Lots of movement still! Thank God!

The Inside Story: The baby swallows at 7 ounces of the amniotic fluid each day, not only for hydration but also for nutrition. They also pratice swalloing and digesting. The baby sleeps about 12-14 hours a day! Which is hard to believe sometimes because the amount of movement I feel!

January 4th we have our Ultrasound!! YAY! So excited!

19 weeks!

Size of the Baby: a mango! 6.5 inches, and weighs 10 ounces!

My Body: I feel alright. My pelvis is always sore and aching. I had an appointment on Monday and I asked the doctor about it and she said as long as it doesn't feel like contractions then I am good. She figures that there is alot of stretching and pulling! I also cannot sleep at night, this has been going on for two weeks now. Some nights are better then others. But obviously tonight is one of those nights since I am writing this at 1 am! UGH! I also have been feeling kinda depressed, well not depressed but moody. I do not know if this is because this past week has been rough with a death, and then the Sandy Hook shooting ( which has been bothering me like crazy!)Or if is just hormones, I never felt like this with Hayden. Hopefully it goes away soon! I also pee like CRAZY! I think when I do fall asleep I wake up every 2 hours cause I need to go to the bathroom, I do not remember it being this bad with Hayden. Doctor thinks that the baby is sitting lower, like pretty much on my bladder I guess.

Cravings: No new cravings this week so far!

Movements: LOTS of movement! Mostly at night, that is another reason why I cannot sleep! I am almost asleep and the baby hoofs me, then I get really excited!

The Inside Story:  If we had an ultrasound this week the tech could probably tell us what we are having. But no, we will not be finding out what we are having! The baby can now stretch out and as sleeping and waking periods. The baby still cannot open thier eyes, but the baby's eyes and ears are in position, and if we had an ultrasound we could probably tell if it has my nose or daddy's nose. Pretty amazing!

"God can't be kept out!" By: Rachel Held Evans.

Ever since the shooting in Sandy Hook, all I have heard on my Facebook feed, blogs, and pretty much every social networking site is that God was NOT there last Friday becasue WE pushed God out of our schools. That statement did NOT sit well with me, and left me sick to my stomach. Then today I read something SO refreshing and SO true!

My pastor posted this blog post written by Rachel Held Evans. It  is titled "God can't be kept out". And she stole the words out of my mouth, I could not agree more with her. I would love to copy the WHOLE thing and put it on here (and obviously give her the credit for it) but I don't know what the copyright laws and would prefer to stay out of trouble. So,  here is the link to the blog. Take a moment to read it!

My heart aches...

20 children killed in Connecticut.
22 children killed in China.

SO sad and disturbing! I cannot imagine what the parents are going through and also what the innocent children saw. I pray that God will erase the images from those childrens minds, and grant the parents the comfort and strength that they will need to give those children that survived.

Cherish your loved ones, hug your children tighter, and NEVER take your loved ones for granted. We are not invinciable.

18 weeks!

Size of the Baby: The baby is the size of a sweet potato! It weighs about 5 ounces and is 5.5 inches! It's slowly getting bigger!

My Body: This past week I have been feeling better! I've noticed that I am alot more hungry with this baby then I was with Hayden, and looking back I am not that sick! Or at least with a toddler I do not have time to be sick! With Hayden I battled morning sickness my WHOLE prenagnacy and with this one I think its safe to say its gone! *knock on wood*. My hips are sore, I can feel my insides stretching or whatever they are doing! I can be very sore some days and find it harder to fall asleep, and I am sure as the baby grows it will just get worse. That's okay!

Cravings: Still craving eggs and now coffee! With Hayden I had the same craving! I usually do not drink coffee but with Hayden I did and now with this baby I have been as well! I try not to drink everyday because it is not good for the baby, and it is also not good for blood pressure. So, I have been careful, and if I do drink coffee I will pound back a bottle of water after.

Movements: BIG time movements! I don't notice it as much during the day. I think its because with a toddler I am constantly moving and doing something that I do not have time to sit and concentrate on the movements. But in the evening I feel the baby alot, espically when I am in bed.

The Inside Story: The baby's fingerprints are almost completly formed! The heart is formed and if I was to have a ultrasound I would see the different structures of the heart. (I heard the baby's heartbeat a few weeks ago, AMAZING!). The senses are developing. The baby is able to hear loud noises! The baby can also sense sounds like my heartbeat and the blood pumping through it's umbilical cord! If there was light in my womb, the baby would be able to detect it! The baby is now sitting more up to make room for the organs that have developed.

I FINALLY have my ultrasound appointment! We are super excited but also a little nervous. We are praying that everything is alright and is developing how it should be! I am excited to see our little one for the first time, and I hope we get as much pictures printed as we did with Hayden!

Book Advent Calender!

Instead of  the regular chocolate advent calender, Pintrest and I decided to do something different this year! As I was browsing ideas on Pintrest I came across the Book Advent! The Book advent is pretty much like the chocolate one but instead of chocolate which isn't good for you anyways ;) you get books! I bought 25 books which at first I thought would be pricey but Wal Mart has amazing books for CHEAP! Then everyday from Dec 1st to Dec 25 you open a present/book! So far, Hayden loves getting presents every day, and he LOVES books! It's fun to try different things every year! Who know's maybe this will become a tradition!

17 weeks!

Where has the time gone!? I cannot believe that I am 17 weeks! CRAZY but SO exciting!

Size of the Baby: the baby is the size of a Turnip! It is 5 inches, and 5 ounces.

My Body: This past week and weekend I have been really tired and not sleeping good. I go to bed exhausted and as soon as I go to bed I am wide awake! So frustrating! I also have had some hip pain, not sure where that is coming from. I remember with Hayden only getting hip pain further along, like my last week being pregnant. Maybe this is a sign that this baby will come naturally and not be induced! *fingers crossed*

Cravings: This past week some of my cravings have been COLD pudding cups, orange juice, and eggs! The whole craving eggs thing is kinda weird to me because I am not the biggest egg fan! But last week I was craving them so bad that I could taste them! So guess what Hayden and I have been eating for breakfast for the past week? EGGS!

Movements: Just the little flutters still! A matter of fact while I write this I can feel the little one going crazy in there!!

The Inside Story: The baby's circulatory system and urinary tract is now functioning. The baby is also inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid, the baby is practicing breathing! If the baby is girl, her ovaries are developing tiny follicules. She will have 6 million eggs at this point of the pregnancy, by the time she is born she will have 1 million! CRAZY!!
