What is on my mind today...

Happy Easter Monday everyone!!
Easter is a time to celebrate the most signaficant event that has ever happened in history, at least I think it is! It is hard to fathom that someone can be raised from the dead, everytime I think about that happening now a days, it totally freaks me out! I often wonder what the ladies thought when they went back to the tomb and no one was there, what was really going thru thier head? I sometimes wonder why they went back to the tomb if they knew that he was going to be raised from the dead? Did they forget this little tidit that Jesus told them? Or did they just lose faith and thought that Jesus was a whacko and that could never happend?  I could honestly say that if Jesus told me he was going to be raised from the dead on the third day, I would have not believed him. And if I was Jesus I would have came back and slaughtered the people that killed me.But, that is the beauty of Jesus, grace, grace, grace, mercy, mercy, mercy and LOVE! I think back of him on the cross, and screaming out to his father, and think why would he have just stayed on the cross and let people mock him!? I could not imagine going through that and I am so thankful that Jesus took my place, so that I will not have to go through that!

I also think of Mary his mother, watching him die on that cross. What was going thru her mind, what was she thinking of the people that killed him? I could not even imagine my son being totured and murdered and knowing that he has all the power to stop this, and wondering why he doesn't stop the madness? I see Mary as a women that had tons of faith in God.

Those were my thoughts and questions that were running through my head this Easter.

Amazing love, amazing grace!

Thank You Jesus for the gift of eternal life!

Luke 24:1-7
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:"The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again. "

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16

Remember that Jesus Loves EVERYONE, and died for EVERYONE! We should also love EVERYONE to, that is one of the many things that Jesus is all about!

The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."
Zephaniah 3:17

Philippians 3:10-12 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

I hope that everyone had a blessed Easter with friends and family!
