"God can't be kept out!" By: Rachel Held Evans.

Ever since the shooting in Sandy Hook, all I have heard on my Facebook feed, blogs, and pretty much every social networking site is that God was NOT there last Friday becasue WE pushed God out of our schools. That statement did NOT sit well with me, and left me sick to my stomach. Then today I read something SO refreshing and SO true!

My pastor posted this blog post written by Rachel Held Evans. It  is titled "God can't be kept out". And she stole the words out of my mouth, I could not agree more with her. I would love to copy the WHOLE thing and put it on here (and obviously give her the credit for it) but I don't know what the copyright laws and would prefer to stay out of trouble. So,  here is the link to the blog. Take a moment to read it!

  1. I agree that God was there and is everywhere. But the people that don't want God in schools are not questioning why God wasn't there to stop the shooting. It just seems silly to me that they can even ask that question when they don't want God there any other time.

I think God was in there in the actions of teachers who saved the lives of their students. And in the way the community bands togethers. And I am sure we will continue hearing stories about how God reveals Himself through people!
