25 years.

HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY TO MY MOM AND DAD!

Looking back I honestly didn't think my mom and dad would see another anniversary. When she was diagnosed with cancer I didn't think she would even see another birthday or even the birth of William. But here they are celebrating their 25th and she is doing really good. This past year was not easy for my parents. Dealing with cancer, the uncertainties, the countless appointments, missing work, mom not being able to drive or having to step back from a job that she loved, life definitely gave them a wicked curve ball.

But the hope and love I see between them is an unbreakable bond. A bond that will stay even though the storms of life might try to break it.

One thing that I will always remember about my parents is that even though cancer casts a shadow over our family, they're faith in God has strengthen! Yes, I am sure they have their questions for him, who doesn't. But the way they turned to the Bible for comfort when they found out she had brain cancer is something to see. I remember my dad reading my mom the book of Psalms, and just seeing the peace in her face.

So, thank you mom and dad for being amazing examples of marriage, and showing me what love looks like. And back in the day I thought it was disgusting to see you kiss, hug and butt slap each other, but secretly I was very thankful!

thank you.
